Paul 'Bozzy' Boswell was born in Dartford in the 60's
and started playing the clarinet at the age of 8. He joined the Uckfield
Youth Orchestra at the age of 11 and played his first solo, Mozart's Clarinet
Concerto at the age of 12. Educated at Uckfield School he joined the Uckfield
Academy Jazz Band, where he first started playing the sax.
In more recent years he joined the East Sussex Concert
Band, Jon Bailey's Big Band - 'Swingshift' and the Johnny Spice Swing
Orchestra. He set up his own band - Aint Misbehavin in 2003.
Bozzy has played in France, Germany and Belgium not
to mention numerous venues in England including the Dome and Joogleberry's
in Brighton, Eastbourne's famous Winter Garden and The Congress Theatre.
His experience is considerable, having performed in numerous stage shows
such as The Merry Widow, South Pacific, Guys & Dolls, Kiss Me Kate, Oliver,
etc. etc.
Drawing influence from the greats such as Zoot Sims
and Stan Getz, audiences delight in the smooth style of playing he has
perfected over the years.
Currently Bozzy is putting together a community band
in the Newhaven area.
